Damon Robinson, MD

Damon Robinson, M.D. is the medical director of the pain management division at Precision Orthopedics. Dr. Robinson is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician with over 15 years of experience in academic research and clinical care. He trained in anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine, and then served on staff with the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Center. He received his medical doctorate from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he maintains a position as an Associate Clinical Professor and is engaged in medical student education.

Dr. Robinson was drawn to pain medicine from the beginning of his medical career, understanding that pain is one of the most common complaints by patients. Patients with chronic pain are often underserved and left with few options other than conservative treatments of medication and physical therapy or invasive treatment by surgery. Dr. Robinson bridges the gap between patients who fail conservative treatment by providing minimally invasive interventions to address chronic pain. Having trained in internal medicine, anesthesiology, and pain medicine, Dr. Robinson believes that a multidisciplinary approach is the most successful way to achieve pain relief. He treats pain in a comprehensive manner, addressing the physical, social, and psychological aspects of his patients.

Dr. Robinson specializes in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain with advanced, non-surgical techniques. His comprehensive range of skills includes image-guided injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, regenerative therapy, and spinal cord stimulation, among others.

Dr. Robinson maintains active memberships in the Spine Interventional Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, National Medical Association and the American Medical Association.

When not tackling pain issues, Dr. Robinson enjoys golfing, sailing, and cycling. As an instrument-rated private pilot of over 25 years, he is often in the cockpit, taking off for a weekend getaway with his wife and 3 daughters.
