Adventist HealthCare, based in Gaithersburg, Md., is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization of dedicated professionals who work together each day to improve the health and well-being of people and communities through a ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Logo Howard County General Hospital

Howard County General Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Opened in 1973, the original 59-bed, the short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 225 licensed beds, specializing in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education. In June 1998, Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine.

University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center was founded in 1944 and is located in Cheverly, MD. In addition to offering the surrounding community comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical services, this facility is also a Level II Trauma Center and is the second busiest trauma center in the state of Maryland.
