Charles Roberson, MD

Charles A. Roberson, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, shoulder, elbow, and knee surgery, as well as general orthopedics and fracture care. He has served as a Team Physician for the Austin Peay State University Governors athletic programs, as well as Assistant Team Physician for the University of Washington Huskies athletic programs, several District of Columbia and Maryland high school athletic programs, as well as the Cincinnati Sizzle, a women’s professional tackle football team.

Dr. Roberson completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center under the guidance of world-renowned knee surgeon Dr. Frank Noyes. During his fellowship he was able to participate in extensive research in ACL injury prevention and treatment, meniscal tear treatment, and rotator cuff tear and shoulder instability management.

Dr. Roberson is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He practices martial arts and enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs. He has one son in medical school in Virginia and another son in college in Atlanta.
